Our approach focuses on the key components that make blockchain the next generation of digital infrastructure: speed, scalability, safety, and simplicity.

Speed

Current blockchains have both low throughput and high latency. Kadena’s private blockchain ScalableBFT was the first high-performance, BFT-consensus protocol capable of approximately 8,000 transactions per second (TPS) with latencies well below 100ms. Our public proof of work consensus protocol, Chainweb, is a “layer 1” scaling solution capable of handling 10,000 TPS.

Safety

Formal Verification of our Pact smart contracts means that you can mathematically prove your smart contract code does not have critical bugs that lose millions of dollars or exploits that have no place for business adoption. Our private chain also leverages the same symmetric encryption technology as Signal and WhatsApp and fully blind addressing for confidentiality on a private blockchain.

Scalability

We believe in building for adoption. Our private blockchain has been tested to support upwards of 256 nodes without sacrificing throughput, and our public chain consensus allows for provisioning of chains so that popular applications can no longer slow down the latest ICOs.
