Building the Future of Blockchain: Kadena’s Revamped Docs for Institutional Innovation

Kadena’s Documentation is being re-crafted with institutional and enterprise developers in mind as part of the launch of our new business strategy spearheaded by our Chief Business Officer, Annelise Osborne.

This initiative reflects Kadena’s commitment to creating a clear, precise, and technical experience for developers. These updates are designed not just to improve usability but also to demonstrate action, accountability, and progress in aligning with Kadena’s new institutional focus.

Why This Matters

Robust, well-organized documentation is the backbone of any blockchain ecosystem. It empowers collaboration, innovation, and growth while positioning Kadena as a developer-friendly and enterprise-ready Layer 1 blockchain.

With institutions like banks and financial services increasingly exploring blockchain solutions, we’re ensuring that our Docs site meets their expectations for clarity and precision. We're creating a seamless technical resource that developers—both in the community and at the enterprise level—can rely on.

What’s New?

Here’s what we’ve accomplished so far:

• Minimalistic, streamlined design for straightforward navigation and quick access to core resources.
• Enterprise-focused approach to help institutions (and their devs) build easily on Kadena.
• Full revamp of content, identifying what was out of date or missing and then aligned accordingly based on new strategic initiatives.

A New Direction

Under Kadena’s new leadership, this initiative was kickstarted as part of a broader effort to prioritize institutional adoption. The goal is to provide technical clarity while setting a higher standard for developer experience — one that scales with the needs of enterprise partners. By focusing on core components, like Pact and Chainweb, Kadena is doubling down on its Layer 1 foundation. Tools and solutions will eventually live outside the Docs site, ensuring that our focus remains sharp and relevant to developers looking for technical precision. This will also include future efforts of moving tools and solutions to our main website for a more unified experience.

Current Status

Announced in August, the Kadena Docs refresh project is a work in progress, with the anticipated launch set for January 2025. You can follow the latest updates and contributions on GitHub, and explore the evolving site directly at enterprise-docs.kadena.io.
